2025 Ford Expedition Trim Levels
The 2025 Ford Expedition still rules the full-size SUV segment, giving drivers the room, muscle, and sophistication they want. Fresh styling and tech upgrades keep it relevant for busy families, weekend warriors, and anyone needing a do-it-all vehicle that handles the daily grind and cross-country road trips. Whether navigating city streets or tackling more challenging conditions, the Expedition offers a well-balanced combination of comfort and durability. Its spacious interior provides ample room for passengers and cargo, while advanced driving aids and modern conveniences enhance the experience. The Expedition is the go-to choice for customers at the Star Valley Ford dealer who demand a practical and sophisticated SUV.
2025 Ford Expedition Trim Levels
The 2025 Ford Expedition comes in four trims: Active, Platinum, Tremor, and King Ranch. Buyers can choose between the standard-wheelbase model or the extended Expedition Max, which provides additional cargo capacity. According to the Star Valley Ford dealership, both configurations offer seating for either seven or eight passengers.
Powering the Expedition is a turbocharged 3.5-liter V6, available in two output levels. The base engine puts out 400 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque, while a more powerful version producing 440 hp and 510 lb-ft is standard on the Tremor and optional on the Platinum. Both variants are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel drive is standard on all trims except the base Active, where it’s optional.

The base Active trim offers a mix of essential features and modern technology. It rides on 18-inch wheels and comes equipped with LED headlights, a power liftgate, and seating for up to eight passengers. A seven-passenger setup with second-row captain’s chairs is available. Other standard features include power-adjustable front seats, keyless entry with push-button start, a 13.2-inch center touchscreen, a 24-inch digital instrument panel, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Google Maps, and Google Assistant. Front and rear parking sensors help navigate tight spaces. Four-wheel-drive models come standard with a heavy-duty towing package.
Every Expedition includes Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0, a suite of advanced driver aids. This package features adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning with cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, a lane centering system, a 360-degree camera system, intersection collision mitigation, evasive steering assistance, and rear automatic braking.
The available Touring Edition package adds 20-inch wheels, synthetic leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, a wireless charging pad, a heated steering wheel, and a household-style power outlet. It also includes the Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow package. Ford’s BlueCruise hands-free driving system, which provides assisted driving on select highways through a subscription-based service, is also part of this package.

The Platinum trim builds on the Active trim with the features of the Touring Edition package, adding more luxury and convenience features. Four-wheel drive is standard, along with power-deployable running boards, leather upholstery, massaging and ventilated front seats, and heated second-row captain’s chairs (a rear bench seat is available). Also standard are power-adjustable pedals, multi-color ambient lighting, a 10-speaker B&O premium audio system, and additional USB charging ports in the second and third rows.
The Platinum had several option packages. The Driver’s package adds 22-inch wheels, adaptive suspension, and B&O’s premium 22-speaker sound system for improved audio quality. The Ultimate package builds on this with 24-inch wheels, upgraded leather upholstery, an illuminated grille, and the high-output V6 engine. For a more aggressive look, the Stealth Performance package includes 22-inch black wheels, black exterior badging and trim, black leather upholstery, the high-output V6 engine, and the features of the Driver’s package.

The Tremor trim is powered by the high-output V6 engine. It gets the features of the Platinum trim minus the power-deployable running boards. It includes an off-road-tuned suspension with a 1-inch lift, underbody skid plates, and a locking rear differential. It also comes with 18-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires, front tow hooks, a unique grille, and exclusive exterior trim. The front seats are embroidered with the Tremor logo.

The King Ranch trim builds on the Platinum trim with 22-inch bronze-colored wheels, adaptive suspension dampers for improved ride comfort and handling, and bronze exterior accents. Inside, it features distinct brown leather upholstery embossed with the King Ranch logo. A 22-speaker B&O audio system rounds out the premium upgrades.
